Being here and there
Yesterday, I read the announcement that FriendFeed is now available via IM, and I thought of giving it a try.
This morning, while preparing my lecture on Collaborative technologies and Enterprise 2.0, a feed coming from Lee Bryant’s Twitter caught my eye:
@frogpond_conf wow – great blogging. You should have given my talk ! 😉
I instantly understood that Lee was giving a talk somewhere, and he had discovered someone who was blogging his talk! What better example of social media in action I could have wished for my class?!
I went to @frogpond_conf ‘s Twitter.
Hey, there was an outline of Lee’s talk at the ECM Summit in Frankfurt! Excellent!
Of course, I checked frogpond’s blog. And I started following him on Twitter…
Back from my lecture, I read another interesting tweet:
funny, sitting in the last row at conferences allows to see who is checking me out on Twitter 🙂
And discovered @frogpond was following me on Twitter – my intuition was right – @frogpond_conf was a separate account he set up for conferences only!
